مهارة اليوم هي مهارة تجعلك تترك بصمة في عمارة هذا الكون وهذه الأرض التي استخلفك الله فيها وجعلك له خليفة فيها، هي مهارة الدافع الذاتي وهى الاستجابة للمؤثرات الخارجية الدافعة نحو هدفك.
صاحب مهارة الدافع الذاتي:-
هو الشيخ الدكتور عبد الرحمن السميط وُلد عام 1947 في الكويت، رأي مجموعة من العمال وهم في الشمس الحارقة لا يقوون على التحرك بعد إنقضاء عملهم الشاق طول الدوام، فأخذ يُجمع من أصحابه وأقاربه مبالغ مالية ليشتري سيارة لتوصيل العمال هؤلاء لبيوتهم ويستعمل عليها قائدا، وطلب منهم أن يُجمعوا من بعضهم ليدفعوا للقائد أجره، وقبل أن يُسافر للدراسة في أحد الدول الأجنبية قرأ بحثًا يتكلم عن الإسلام في أحد الدول الأفريقية فأصبح عنده دافع ذاتي لأن يضع بصمته في الدول الأفريقية، فبعد أن عاد من دراسته قرر أن يُسافر مع أحد المؤسسات الخيرية إلى دول في أفريقيا ليرى أكثر مما سمع عن فقرهم وجوعهم وحاجتهم الشديدة للأموال، وقرر إنشاء لجنة وأسماها "مسلمي أفريقيا"، وبدأت رحلة واستمرت 29 عام من السفر للخارج والعودة لبلده ووطنه قليلاً، بدأ بالأماكن الفقيرة جداً في بلاد أفريقيا وكان ما جمعه من مبلغ ليبدأ في جمعيته هو مبلغ 500 دولار ولكن بصدق النية يأتي العون الإلهى الذي إذا أعطى أدهش، فبدأ عمل مشاريع صغيرة لهم ليُنتجوا، علمت الدولة بمجهوداته فقررت أن تُكرمه وأعطوه مكافأة فبنى بها أول مركز إسلامي وجمعية أسماها "جمعية العون المُباشر"، وفي عام 1990 حدث الغزو العراقي على الكويت واعتقل هذا الشيخ وعُذب تعذيباً شديداً وانتهى الغزو وخرج ورجع إلى أفريقيا ليُكمل مسيرته، وحدث الغزو الأمريكي على العراق ودُمرت العراق وشُرد أهلها وإذا به يتبرع بمبلغ 2 مليون دولار لكفالة وعلاج الأسر الفقيرة هناك في العراق، هذا الرجل أسلم على يديه 7 مليون إنسان، بنى 5700 مسجد، بنى العديد من المدارس والجامعات والمراكز الاسلامية، وترك وراءه 4200 داعية يُكملوا مسيرته التى بدأها، فحفظ الله هذا الشيخ وأطال في عُمره.
العوائق التي بينك وبين مهارة الدافع الذاتي:-
1- التغافل عن المؤثرات الخارجية: تجاهلك للأحداث التي تحدث من حولك.
2- بنج الضمير: وهو نابع من نفسك اللوامة التي تلومك عن تقصيرك تجاه عمل معين، فتأتي وتُخدرها لتقول لست وحدي وتُلقى باللوم على آخر.
3- الجهل بالإمكانيات: وهو نابع من سوء ظنك بنفسك أو بالأصح أحسن ظنك بالله، فالله لم يخلقك عبثاً، لأن ربك أعطاك إمكانيات لا حدود لها.
كيف تكتسب مهارة الدافع الذاتي:-
لا تُؤجل الاستجابة للدافع الخارجي: حينما تأتي رسالة ربنا ابدأ ولا تُؤجل.

Defining self-motivation
Self-motivation means the immediate response to external influences that acts as a stimulus to achieving goals. It is self-motivation that enables individuals to leave a remarkable impression with respect to the constructive development of the earth. It is revealed in the noble Qur'an that man is the vicegerent of Allah (SWT) on earth.
Voluntary work and self-motivation
Voluntary work and self-motivation are intertwined, each of them is essential for the other. Voluntary work is the power that motivates any person to give and work hard for the best interest of others, for no return but to please Allah(1) (SWT)(2). Moreover, it promotes beneficial work among individuals and thus the entire community. The development of a country cannot be achieved without having the motivation to work to bring about constructive development.
None can urge us to work hard but us. Never wait for others to start; rather be always the first to take the initiative. Our communities are full of numerous fields to serve and develop, each according to one’s capacity and ability.
An example of self-motivation
There are numerous famous figures that can be mentioned in the context of self-motivation. Our Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) is on top of them. Here we mention a modern contemporary figurer who has a great influence in the field of voluntary charitable work.
Abdul-Rahman Al-Sumait
Abdul-Rahman Al-Sumait is a Kuwaiti citizen, born in 1947. He represents a perfect example of a self-motivated person who constantly responds to external motivations and influences. Abdul-Rahman Al-Sumait is a physician who became a prominent figure in the field of voluntary work and da’wa (calling to Islam).
His enormous contributions for humanity are manifested in the following aspects:
- He dedicated himself to charitable work in his country. He helped a group of workers to have a vehicle to take them to and back from work, and thus spared them the hardship of finding a means of transportation.
- He was motivated to serve the African community after reading a research on slam in the African countries. He decided to help the Africans out of their poverty, starvation and lack of funds.
- Dr. Abdul-Rahman established a committee and named it "Muslims of Africa". The first sum of money he collected to start his charitable project in Africa was $ 500. However, by the grace and infinite bounties of Allah and thanks to sincere intentions, he launched small projects for the poor Africans to help them earn their living.
- The first sum of money Dr. Abdul-Rahman received in recognition for his efforts from the state, he immediacy used to establish a philanthropic association which he named "The Association of Direct Aid".
- After the Iraqi invasion in 1990 of Kuwait, Dr. Abdul-Rahman was imprisoned and severely tortured. However, after the end of the invasion, he returned to Africa to continue his journey of voluntary and charitable work there.
- After the American invasion of Iraq which left the Iraqi community totally devastated, he paid $2,000,000 to sponsor and provide medical care for poor homeless Iraqi families.
- In the field of da'wa, Dr. Abdul-Rahman managed, by the grace of Allah, to call seven million people to embrace Islam willingly. He established 5700 mosques, several schools, Universities and Islamic centers. He trained 4200 preachers to continue his mission.
May Allah grant him long life and protect him.
Things that hinder self-motivation
1- Heedlessness of external issues and events.
2- Pacifying the pangs of conscience, at times of self-reproaches, through engaging in blaming others for the loss of values.
3- Unawareness of one's potentials due to the underestimation of one’s faculties. Therefore, think well of Allah Who has created you for a certain wisdom and purpose, and endowed you with boundless potentials.
Means to acquire the skill of self-motivation
Always be attentive to respond to external influences. When you receive a message form Allah that urges you to work, start immediately without delay.

Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux, Louange à Allah Seigneur de l’Univers et que Ses grâces et Sa paix soient accordées à Son Messager.
Le talent que nous traitons aujourd’hui permet à la personne de laisser son empreinte dans l’édification de cet univers, de cette terre où Allah a donné le vicariat à l’être humain en Son nom. C’est l’autopropulsion qui vous rend réceptif aux influences extérieures qui poussent vers votre but.
Un exemple de ceux qui possèdent une autopropulsion : le cheikh Dr. ‘Abd Ar-Rahman As-Samit né en 1947 au Kuweit.
Un groupe d’ouvrier travaillait sous un soleil brûlant au point de ne pouvoir plus bouger après avoir terminé leur travail ardu. Cheikh ‘Abd Ar-Rahman collecta une somme d’argent des membres de sa famille et de ses amis et acheta une voiture pour ramener les ouvriers chez eux après avoir terminé leur travail. Il mit à leur tête un chef et leur demanda de cotiser entre eux pour payer le chef.
Avant de partir pour terminer des études à l’étranger, il lut un article au sujet de l’islam dans un des pays africains et, par autopropulsion, il pensa laisser une empreinte dans ces pays. Après avoir terminé ses études, il partit vers l’Afrique avec une fondation caritative. Il vit plus qu’il n’avait jamais entendu au sujet de leur pauvreté, de leur besoin pressant d’argent et décida de fonder un comité qu’il nomma “Les Musulmans d’Afrique”. Il commença un voyage qui dura 29 ans durant lesquels il revenait chez lui pour un peu de temps. Cheikh ‘Abd Ar-Rahman commença par les pays les plus pauvres. Il avait débuté sa fondation avec la somme de 500$ mais l’aide d’Allah vient avec la sincérité de l’intention. Il entreprit de leur mettre sur pied de petits projets productifs. La communauté entendit parler de ses efforts et décida de l’honorer et de lui donner une rétribution qu’il utilisa pour construire un centre islamique et une association qu’il appela “Association de l’aide directe”.
En 1990, cheikh ‘Abd Ar-Rahman fut fait prisonnier lors de l’invasion du Kuweit par l’Irak et subit des châtiments atroces. L’invasion repoussée, il sortit de prison et retourna en Afrique pour continuer son œuvre. L’Irak fut envahi par les Etats-Unis, le pays fut détruit, ses habitants durent fuir et voilà cheikh ‘Abd Ar-Rahman qui lui fait don de deux millions de Dollars pour soigner et subventionner les familles pauvres.
7millions de personnes se convertirent à l’islam avec l’aide de cet homme. Il a construit 5.700 mosquées un grand nombre d’écoles, d’universités et de centres islamiques. Il a laissé derrière lui 4.200 prédicateurs pour continuer son œuvre, puisse Allah garder ce cheikh et lui donner une longue vie.
Les obstacles qui se trouvent entre vous et l’autopropulsion :
1- La négligence des évènements influents extérieurs dans votre environnement.
2- L’anesthésie de la conscience : votre âme critique vous fait des reproches pour une certaine action puis vous l’anesthésiez en rejetant la faute aussi sur les autres : « Ce n’est pas ma faute à moi seul. »
3- L’ignorance des moyens qui vient de votre manque de confiance en vous-même ou plutôt de votre manque de confiance en Allah qui ne vous a pas créé par mégarde. En vérité Il vous a donné des moyens illimités.
Comment acquérir le talent de l’autopropulsion :
Ne pas retarder la réponse à l’impulsion extérieure ; Dès que le message d’Allah arrive, il faut commencer sans délai.
